Claude Code Training in Doha

Doha’s engineering teams are often small, senior and responsible for systems that cannot fail. Our Claude Code training in Doha helps them hand routine coding, testing and documentation to Anthropic’s agentic tool, while keeping Qatar’s information assurance standard and bank-grade change control intact.

Overview

Getting more from lean engineering teams in Qatar

Compared with larger Gulf markets, Doha’s software teams tend to be compact. A bank’s digital channel might be run by a handful of senior engineers plus vendors; an energy company’s data platform team supports operations that matter to the national economy; a start-up at Qatar Science & Technology Park (QSTP) in Education City may have two developers and a long roadmap. In each case the constraint is the same: too much work for the people available, and little tolerance for mistakes.

Claude Code, Anthropic’s agentic coding tool, works across a codebase from the terminal, VS Code, JetBrains, the desktop app or the web. It plans changes, edits files, runs tests and commands, and prepares git commits. Our Claude Code training Doha programme teaches teams to delegate the routine parts, such as test coverage, refactoring and documentation, while senior engineers keep architectural decisions and final review.

What we adapt for Qatar

  • Controls that sit comfortably alongside the NCSA’s National Information Assurance Standard and its data classification policy.
  • For banks, change management and outsourcing questions familiar from QCB supervision.
  • Keeping personal data covered by Qatar’s PDPPL (Law No. 13 of 2016) out of prompts and test fixtures.
  • Operational-technology boundaries for energy teams, so the agent never touches control systems.
  • Vendor collaboration: hooks, CLAUDE.md and review rules that apply equally to in-house and contractor developers.

Sessions run Sunday to Thursday, onsite in Doha or live-online, in English, with shorter blocks available during Ramadan.

Highlights

What the Doha programme covers

Delegating the routine

Handing test writing, refactoring and documentation to Claude Code so senior engineers spend time on design.

Permission boundaries

Configuring permission modes and deny rules so the agent stays inside approved folders and commands.

Rules for vendors too

Shared CLAUDE.md, hooks and review standards that contractors and in-house developers both follow.

Codebase onboarding

Asking Claude Code to explain unfamiliar modules, trace data flows and summarise how a system fits together.

Review before merge

A practical checklist for AI-written code focused on security, data handling and test integrity.

Plugins and MCP

Extending Claude Code with approved MCP servers and plugins for tickets, documentation and internal tools.

In your workflow

An energy data team clears its test backlog

A data engineer supporting LNG operations inherits a Python pipeline with almost no tests. She asks Claude Code to explain each module, then to write characterisation tests using anonymised sample data. A hook stops any command that would reach the production historian. After review, coverage jumps and the team can refactor safely.

Use it for

Claude Code in practice for Doha teams

Bank digital channels

Adding tests, documentation and secure input handling to mobile and internet banking code before QCB-related audits and penetration tests.

Energy and LNG data platforms

Maintaining data pipelines, dashboards and reporting code for operations teams while keeping operational technology strictly off limits.

QSTP start-ups

Letting two- or three-person teams build features, fix bugs and write tests at a pace closer to a larger engineering group.

Government and public services

Supporting digital service teams with bilingual front ends, API integrations and documentation under the national information assurance standard.

Hospitality and events tech

Improving booking, ticketing and visitor apps that face sharp traffic peaks around major sporting and cultural events.

Vendor-delivered systems

Reviewing code handed over by contractors, generating missing documentation and spotting risky patterns before acceptance sign-off.

FAQ

Claude Code Training in Doha — questions

Yes, and small teams often benefit most because each developer covers more of the system. We can train a team of three or four onsite, or join engineers from several departments into one live-online cohort. Exercises use your stack so the practice carries over immediately.
Your information security team decides which repositories and data classes may be used with Claude Code. We show the controls available, including permission modes, excluded paths, managed settings, hooks and logging, and help teams practise with synthetic or anonymised data so classified information stays out of prompts.
We recommend keeping Claude Code firmly on the IT side: data pipelines, reporting, web apps and internal tools. During training we configure hooks and deny rules that block commands touching operational technology. Whether any OT-adjacent use is acceptable is a decision for your OT security function.
Yes, and it is often a good idea. When vendors and in-house staff follow the same CLAUDE.md, hooks and review checklist, handovers become easier to assess. Check your contracts first, as some agreements restrict which tools vendors may use on your code.
Sessions are delivered in English. We include practical work on Arabic interfaces: right-to-left layouts, bilingual resource files, Arabic validation messages and test data, so developers can use Claude Code confidently on bilingual products common across Qatar.
