What is Claude Cowork?
Claude Cowork is Anthropic’s agentic workspace inside the Claude desktop app. You point it at the folders and tools a task needs, describe the outcome, and Claude plans the steps, works through your files and returns a finished result — a reconciled spreadsheet, a formatted report, a first-draft deck. It became generally available on paid Claude plans in 2026, with enterprise controls such as role-based access, group spend limits, usage analytics and per-connector permissions.
