Overview

Fast delivery and strict controls: why Riyadh needs a different approach

Riyadh’s software demand comes from several directions at once. Banks regulated by SAMA are rebuilding channels and integrating with open-banking APIs. Government entities are moving more services online under Vision 2030. Giga-project programmes need booking, logistics and smart-city platforms built at pace, and the companies that relocated regional headquarters to the city are standing up engineering teams of their own. Each group wants more output from scarce senior developers, and each answers to security rules that leave little room for improvisation.

Claude Code, Anthropic’s agentic coding tool, can read a repository, plan work, edit files, run tests and manage git operations from the terminal, an IDE, the desktop app or the web. Our Claude Code training Riyadh sessions teach that workflow, then spend equal time on the controls around it.

Controls we build into the course

  • How the NCA Essential Cybersecurity Controls (ECC-2:2024) and, for banks, the SAMA Cyber Security Framework shape secure development, access management and change control when an agent writes code.
  • Keeping personal data subject to the KSA PDPL out of prompts, fixtures and logs.
  • Permission modes, managed settings and hooks that block risky commands and secrets.
  • Pull-request review standards for AI-written code, plus audit-friendly logging from CI runs.

We schedule around the Sunday-to-Thursday week and adjust session length during Ramadan. Delivery is in English, with practical coverage of Arabic interfaces, right-to-left layouts and bilingual content. We are trainers, not auditors: your compliance team decides how these practices map to your obligations.

Highlights

Skills Riyadh developers leave with

Plans you can audit

Using plan mode to produce a written change plan that reviewers and change-advisory boards can read.

Hard limits on the agent

Deny rules, permission modes and hooks that stop production commands, unapproved network calls and secret exposure.

Reviewing agent output

A checklist for AI-written code covering authorisation logic, input validation, dependency choices and weakened tests.

Shared team memory

A CLAUDE.md that encodes your secure coding standard, approved libraries and the folders the agent must ignore.

Automation in pipelines

Headless Claude Code in CI for test generation and review comments, with outputs kept for audit.

Arabic-ready front ends

Getting reliable help with right-to-left layouts, Arabic validation messages and bilingual resource files.

In your workflow

A bank API change under SAMA-style change control

A developer at a Riyadh bank must add a consent check to an open-banking endpoint. Claude Code drafts a plan in plan mode; it goes to the change ticket. After approval, the agent edits the service, writes tests and runs them locally. A hook blocks an accidental config push, and a security reviewer signs off the pull request.

Use it for

Claude Code use cases for Riyadh organisations

Banking and open APIs

Writing tests, documentation and consent logic for bank and fintech APIs while respecting segregation of duties in change control.

Government digital platforms

Speeding up delivery of citizen and business services, with agent permissions configured around the entity’s cybersecurity policy and classifications.

Giga-project systems

Building booking, ticketing, logistics and property platforms quickly, with tests and documentation produced alongside the code rather than after.

Regional headquarters teams

Helping newly formed engineering teams in regional HQs learn inherited codebases faster by asking Claude Code to explain modules.

Telecom and digital services

Refactoring billing, provisioning and self-care app code, and generating regression tests before large platform migrations.

Legacy modernisation

Explaining old Java, .NET or COBOL-era logic, writing characterisation tests and planning migrations in small, reversible steps.

FAQ

Claude Code Training in Riyadh — questions

No tool meets a framework on its own; your organisation does, through how it configures and governs the tool. Our course shows the relevant controls, including access restrictions, logging, managed settings and review, so your cybersecurity team can judge compliance and decide which repositories are in scope.
Data residency depends on your Claude plan, deployment route and your own policies, so your legal and security teams should confirm it with Anthropic or your cloud provider. In training we focus on minimising what reaches the model: no personal data in prompts, excluded paths and synthetic test data.
Yes. We adapt exercises to banking realities such as change-advisory boards, segregation of duties and evidence for SAMA-related audits. Where code cannot leave the bank’s environment, participants work on a sandbox repository during the session and apply what they learned internally afterwards.
Yes. Many Riyadh teams prefer shorter sessions during Ramadan, often late morning, so we split a full day into two or three blocks. Outside Ramadan we usually run full days from Sunday to Thursday, onsite or live-online.
Start with Sonnet 5.5 for everyday tasks such as bug fixes, tests and small features. Move to Opus 5.5 for large migrations and multi-service refactors, and keep Fable 5.1 for the hardest problems. We show managers how to watch cost by team as usage grows.
