Overview

HR work that suits Claude, and work that does not

HR teams write a great deal: job descriptions, offer letters, policies, FAQs for managers, interview guides, engagement survey summaries. Claude is very good at first drafts of all of these. It is not the right tool to decide who gets hired, promoted or let go, and the programme is explicit about that line.

India: policies after the Labour Codes

India’s four Labour Codes, covering wages, industrial relations, social security, and occupational safety and working conditions, took effect in November 2025, with central and state rules being finalised in stages. Many HR teams are rewriting leave, working-hours, gratuity and fixed-term employment policies. We show how Claude can compare an existing policy with the Code text your legal team supplies and list sections that need review, without treating its own summary as the law.

Gulf: localisation reporting

UAE employers track Emiratisation targets set by the Ministry of Human Resources and Emiratisation, while Saudi employers manage their Nitaqat band through the Saudization programme. Claude can help assemble headcount data into clear internal reports and draft hiring plans, but the official figures always come from MoHRE or Qiwa records, not from a model.

  • Employee data guardrails: masking, minimum necessary data, approved plans
  • Bias checks on job descriptions and interview questions
  • Arabic and English versions of policies for Gulf workforces, reviewed by a fluent speaker

By the end, each participant has a set of tested prompts and at least one Skill, such as a house-style JD writer, ready for the team to share.

Highlights

What HR participants take away

Job descriptions in house style

A reusable Skill that writes JDs in your format, tone and grading structure, with inclusive language checks built in.

Policy drafting and review

Draft or refresh HR policies and compare them with supplied regulatory text, listing gaps for legal review.

Structured interview kits

Competency-based questions and scoring guides that keep interviews consistent across panels and locations.

Employee data guardrails

Clear rules on what personal data can be used with Claude, how to mask it and which plans to use.

Localisation reporting support

Turn headcount exports into Emiratisation or Saudization tracking summaries, always reconciled to official platform figures.

Bias awareness

Spot biased wording in adverts, feedback and appraisals, and keep humans responsible for every people decision.

In your workflow

Refreshing a leave policy after a regulatory change

An HR manager in Pune gathers the current leave policy, the relevant Labour Code extract and the state rules note from the legal team. In Cowork, Claude compares the three, lists clauses that may conflict, and drafts revised wording with change notes. Legal reviews the flagged points, HR adjusts the draft, and the final policy goes out with a manager FAQ Claude also drafted.

Draft offer letters and onboarding emails from approved templates, adapted for Indian, UAE or Saudi employment terms.

Workforce localisation plans

Draft a hiring and development plan to support Emiratisation or Nitaqat targets, using figures confirmed in official records.

Learning content

Create training outlines, quizzes and manager guides for new policies, such as a revised working-hours or remote-work policy.

FAQ

Claude for HR Teams Training — questions

Claude can summarise CVs against stated criteria, but we advise against letting any AI make or heavily drive hiring decisions. Bias, data protection and fairness risks are real. In the training, Claude supports the human reviewer with structured summaries, and a person makes every shortlisting decision and records the reasons.
We are AI trainers, not employment lawyers. The session shows how to use Claude to compare your policies with Code text and rules supplied by your legal team or advisers, and to draft revisions for their review. It is not a substitute for legal advice on how the Codes apply to your organisation.
It can help organise headcount data and present it clearly, but the official position comes from MoHRE in the UAE or the Qiwa platform in Saudi Arabia. We train HR teams to reconcile any Claude-built report against those official figures before sharing it internally.
Use the minimum necessary, mask names and identifiers where you can, and work only on plans your organisation has approved for personal data. India’s DPDP Act and UAE and Saudi data protection laws apply to employee data, so your policy should be agreed with legal and IT before staff begin.
Yes. A two or three-person HR team often benefits most, because the same people write policies, run hiring and handle employee queries. We focus on the documents and tasks your team produces most often, so the prompts and Skills built in the session are used the following week.
