Vietnam's new AI law and the case for Copilot training

Vietnam's National Assembly passed the country's first Law on Artificial Intelligence on 12 December 2025, and it came into force on 1 March 2026. The law addresses data inputs, how AI is used and who is accountable for results, so companies deploying Microsoft 365 Copilot now have a regulatory reason, not just a productivity one, to train staff. Decree 13/2023 on personal data protection sits alongside it and governs how employee and customer information is handled.
